Use RLink with WiTech 2.0 software to program the TCM module

Use RLink with WiTech 2.0 software to program the TCM module

Pre-programming Preparation:
I. Preliminary Requirements
Prepare a computer pre-installed with OE software and ensure it has sufficient power. Tip: It is recommended to keep the PC connected to a power source throughout the programming process to avoid interruptions caused by power loss.
The computer must be connected to a wired network with a download speed of ≥5M/s. Some ECU data files are large; high network latency or interruptions will directly cause programming failure.
Connect the vehicle to a dedicated stable voltage power supply (battery stabilizer) to maintain voltage between 13.2V and 14.5V. Voltage fluctuations can cause programming failures, so stable power supply is essential.
Park the vehicle on level ground to prevent the risk of rolling. An inclined surface may lead to accidents during the programming process.
II. Pre-programming Checklist
5. Verify that the ECU power supply and ground connections are normal, and confirm that the ECU information matches the current vehicle's ECU exactly.
6. If programming a remanufactured ECU, strictly follow the manufacturer's operating guidelines. Some remanufactured ECUs (e.g., immobilizer-related) may not pass the factory OEM software verification. Second-hand ECUs may need to be wiped/cleared of data before use; otherwise, programming will fail.
7. It is recommended to prioritize using a brand-new ECU for programming, and a stable voltage power supply must be connected during the process.
III. Programming Procedure Standards
8. During programming, carefully read the operation prompts within the OEM software and strictly follow the steps. Do not perform unauthorized operations.
IV. Troubleshooting Programming Failures
9. If programming fails, first check the vehicle status and the connection of the diagnostic device.
10. If the status is normal, it is recommended to let the vehicle sleep for 30 minutes before retrying. Sleeping can clear cached error data and improve the success rate of the retry.
11. If the status is abnormal (e.g., the display or instrument cluster is off), do not turn off the ignition. Check if the device and computer are connected properly, and then proceed directly to reprogramming.

Note: Please try to use a brand-new ECU for programming, and always connect a stable voltage power supply during the process.

Operation Steps:
1.Take out the RLink device and connect it to the vehicle's OBD port and the computer's USB port respectively. Ensure the connections are secure.

2.Once the device is connected, launch the RLink Platform software. Confirm the vehicle connection status via the platform's connection info, and verify if the drivers are installed.
Note: Before programming with witech2.0 software, it is recommended to log in to your RLink Platform account to check for any software or firmware updates. If updates are available, install them before proceeding with vehicle programming.

3.Confirm that the device and vehicle connections are normal, then double-click to open the Witech 2.0 software.
Note: The Witech 2.0 software requires PC binding for first-time use (refer to the Chrysler software installation and registration documentation).

4.Click Connect, select Non Verified J2534 Device as shown in the diagram, and then choose TOPDON-RLink or AA RLink mode.
Note: If the Device option appears greyed out, it indicates that the software needs an update, was not installed correctly, or the PC is not bound. This issue is unrelated to the hardware device itself.

5.Log in with your subscribed Chrysler official website account.
Note: The region of the subscribed account must match the IP region of the computer network being used; otherwise, it will not function properly.

6.After logging in, click wiTECH 2 AM PROD to identify the vehicle.
7.Vehicle identified successfully. Click to automatically enter the topology interface.
8.Click on the TCM to enter the ECU information page.
Note: Here you can view information for all vehicle modules, clear all fault codes, and more. You can also select a specific ECU to view detailed module information, perform programming, or clear fault codes for that individual ECU.
9.Select 'Flash', then click the 'TCM Info 68628404AG' option on the Flash page to enter programming mode.
Note: It is recommended to clear fault codes in the DTCs menu before programming.
10.Check if the vehicle's stable power supply is properly connected. Click OK to confirm.
Note: Before starting the flashing process, please ensure the battery charger is connected to the vehicle. Failure to do so may result in damage to the ECU and/or the vehicle battery.
11.Check the box for the programming document description, then click 'Flash ECU'.
Note: Before starting the programming, please double-check that the ignition key is turned on, the charger is functioning properly, and warning signs are placed to indicate programming is in progress. Click OK after confirmation.
12.Wait for the programming to complete. Do not perform any unrelated operations.
Note: If the progress bar remains unchanged for an extended period, do not take any action. This is because some ECUs have large data sizes, which require more time for downloading and writing. If any issues occur during the programming process, an error message will be displayed.
13.After programming is complete, click 'View DTCs' to continue.
14.After programming is complete, click 'Clear All DTCs' to delete fault codes.
Note: If Transport Mode is active, it also needs to be cleared. Some ECUs require sensor data matching after programming, such as shift function matching.
15.After clearing the fault codes, perform a vehicle road test.
Note: A road test must be conducted after programming to ensure everything is functioning normally.
