Preparation before programming:

I. Preliminary Preparation Requirements

1. Prepare one computer pre-installed with OE software, and ensure it has sufficient power. Tip: It is recommended to connect the computer to a power supply throughout the programming process to avoid interruptions caused by a power failure.

2. The computer must be connected to a wired network, ensuring a download speed of ≥5 M/s. For certain ECUs with large data volumes, excessive network latency or network interruptions can directly result in programming failures.

3. The vehicle must be connected to a dedicated voltage-regulated power supply for programming, maintaining the voltage within the range of 13.2V–14.5V. Voltage fluctuations may cause programming failures; therefore, it is essential to ensure a stable power supply.

4. Park the vehicle on a level surface to prevent the risk of rolling away. A sloped surface may lead to accidents during the programming process.

II. Key Pre-Programming Checklist

5. Verify that the power supply and ground circuits of the ECU are functioning correctly, and confirm that the information of the target ECU is fully consistent with that of the current vehicle's ECU.

6. When programming a refurbished ECU, strictly adhere to the manufacturer's operating guidelines. Some refurbished ECUs (e.g., anti-theft models) may not pass verification using the original OEM software; second-hand ECUs may require their data to be cleared before use, otherwise programming may fail.

7. It is recommended to prioritize the use of a brand-new ECU for programming, and a regulated power supply must be connected during the programming process.

III. Programming Process Specifications

8. During the programming process, please carefully read the operating instructions provided in the OEM software, strictly follow the specified steps, and do not perform any operations without authorization.

IV. Programming Error Handling Procedure

9. After a programming failure, first check the vehicle's status and whether the diagnostic equipment is properly connected.

10. If the system status is normal, it is recommended to put the vehicle into sleep mode for 30 minutes before attempting the programming process again; powering off or putting the vehicle into sleep mode can clear cached erroneous data, thereby increasing the success rate of subsequent attempts.

11. If the vehicle's instrument cluster fails to display information after a programming failure, it is recommended to re-perform the programming directly; do not disconnect the device from the power supply, and do not turn off the ignition switch.

Note: Please use a brand-new ECU for programming whenever possible. During the programming process, be sure to connect it to a regulated power supply.

1. Remove the RLink device, then connect it to the vehicle's OBD diagnostic port and the computer's USB port respectively, ensuring a secure connection.

2. Once the device connection is established, launch the RLink Platform software, use the connection information within the platform to verify the vehicle's connection status, confirm whether the driver's app has been downloaded, and select the RLink mode in the Land Rover Driver app.

Note: Before programming with TOPIX software, it is recommended that you log in to your RLink Platform account to check for any software or firmware updates; if updates are available, you should install them before proceeding with vehicle programming.

3. Double-click to open TOPIX software

4. Log in to your TOPIX account, and based on your account permissions, select either an authorized service provider or an independent operator to log in.

5. Upon logging in, the system will automatically identify the VCI and retrieve vehicle information.

Note: If VCI is not detected here, please check whether RLINK mode has been selected in the driver. If RLink has not been selected, completely exit TOPIX software, then switch to RLink mode, and restart TOPIX software to re-detect the device.

6. Vehicle identification completed

7. Click "Diagnose Vehicle Fault" to read the fault codes.

8. Click "Diagnostics", select "Module Programming", choose "RFA-Software-Update Module", and then click "RUN" to initiate programming.

Note: Before programming, you must connect a regulated power supply to ensure stable vehicle voltage.

9. Once you have completed the prompts, click YES.

10. Once you have confirmed that the programming can be performed, simply click "Yes".

11. Programming in progress

12. Once the programming update is complete, click "Continue" to proceed with matching the relevant features.
